A person died after a house went up in flames in Pasadena early Saturday morning, according to authorities.
Preliminary information on the incident was initially limited. It was verified by the Verdugo Fire Communications Center that crews were called out to the 1500 block of Lancashire Place just after 6:20 a.m.
Officials with the Pasadena Fire Department confirmed to KTLA at 8 a.m. that, when firefighters got to the scene, they found a house that was "well-involved" with flames, indicating it had been burning for some time.
"Upon aggressive search and extinguishment, we did unfortunately locate a deceased individual," Pasadena Fire Department Deputy Chief Anthony James said.
