Drew Yusko broke a tie with his second goal as Devon Prep defeated Life Center, 4-3, in the season opener for both teams at the Battle of the Beach, a showcase being hosted in Wildwood by Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia.

A penalty kick by Drew Cunningham was the only shot Devon Prep could manage in the first half, but it sailed in to give the Tide the lead, and that advantage swelled to 3-1 in the second half with goals by Journey Green and Yusko.
