RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday morning.

Police were called to the shooting scene in the 1900 block of Sussex Street at 8:52 a.m.

“Officers arrived and located an adult male, on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound,” police said in a news release. “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
