Ohio State football fans will find out about their 2025 team quickly this season, as the Buckeyes host No. 1 Texas in Week 1.

The No. 2 Buckeyes, coming off a national championship win, will deploy a young quarterback in redshirt freshman Julian Sayin, who's making his first collegiate start against the Longhorns . Texas' last two games have been against Ohio State, as the Buckeyes beat the Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinals last season.

Ohio State also has the pleasure of hosting Arch Manning, who's entering his first season as Texas' full-time starter after sitting behind Quinn Ewers the past two seasons. Manning has huge expectations in 2025, especially given his last name and his five-star status as a high school recruit.
