An investigation is underway after a woman was found shot to death in the backyard of a Philadelphia home Saturday morning.

The unidentified woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck in the backyard of a home on the 2500 block of North Front Street around 9:45 a.m., police said. She was later pronounced dead.
