DETROIT -- Right-handed reliever Beau Brieske, who hasn’t pitched for Triple-A Toledo since July 8, is officially done for the season.
So is left-hander Sean Guenther, who hasn’t pitched since June 25.
Detroit Tigers general manager Jeff Greenberg announced the news on Friday in Kansas City .
They’re added to a growing list of pitchers who contributed last year in the postseason but will not be around for this year’s run: Right-handers Jackson Jobe, Ty Madden and Jason Foley are out for the season, while lefty Brant Hurter and right-hander Reese Olson remain on the injured list with uncertain timetables.
