CORYDON, Ind. —

A restaurant in Corydon, IN, was left damaged after a fire tore through the building early Saturday morning.

According to the Harrison Township Fire Department, it was just before 7:30 a.m. when crews were called out to a structure fire at El Nopalito, which is located on Old Highway 135.

Crews arrived at the scene within three minutes and found fire coming from the kitchen and roof areas.

As crews began battling the blaze, additional departments, including Ramsey, Lanesville, and New Middletown, were called in to assist with man power and supplying water.

Despite the damage the fire caused, officials said they were able to save the majority of the restaurant.
