(WJW) -- Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay revealed Saturday he'd been diagnosed with skin cancer, and had already had it removed from his face.

The 58-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post, writing, "Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma, thank you! Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend."

The television personality, known for hosting popular reality cooking shows like "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef," also shared pictures showing a large bandage on the side of his face and a close-up shot of stitches near his left ear.

"I promise you it’s not a facelift! I’d need a refund," he quipped.
