The Baltimore Police Department’s Entertainment District Unit is working to reduce crime and improve community relations through active engagement and collaboration in key city areas. WBAL’s Chris Cichon explains:
Baltimore police Sgt. Rosenblatt oversees several officers in the unit, that according to BPD is “designed to enhance livability and ensure enjoyable experiences for residents and visitors in Baltimore’s most active entertainment zones.”
Baltimore police Commissioner Richard Worley told WBAL-TV 11’s Barry Simms that the EDU will first conduct operations in Federal Hill, Fells Point and the Inner Harbor.
“Those are our three areas that we’ve been getting the most complaints about the quality-of-life issues,” Worley said.
