STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy announced Friday that a total of $679 million in funding for 12 offshore wind projects has been either withdrawn or terminated, including $48 million for Staten Island’s Arthur Kill Terminal .
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, this action will ensure that funds are directed toward restoring the maritime dominance of the U.S. and minimizing wasteful spending.
