Many Toledo-area cross country teams saw their name on the first Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches poll released Saturday.

The highest ranking for a local team went to Ottawa Hills in the Division IV girls poll. The Green Bears were second and had two first-place votes.

Perrysburg had both its boys and girls teams ranked in the D-I polls. The Yellow Jackets’ boys were 10th, while the girls came in at ninth.

Four local teams were ranked in D-II boys. Bowling Green was eighth, followed by Anthony Wayne (11th), St. Francis de Sales (20th), and Northview (21st).

Bryan was 10th in the D-III boys poll. After the Golden Bears were Ottawa Hills at 11th, Liberty-Benton (13th), and Archbold (21st).

Old Fort was ranked 14th in D-IV boys. Also locally, Van Buren was 15th, Holgat
