ST. LOUIS COUNTY — A 17-year-old male was shot and killed Friday near Bellefontaine Road and Interstate 270 in unincorporated north St. Louis County, police said Saturday.

St. Louis County Police said they responded at around 10:40 p.m. Friday to reports from a ShotSpotter gunshot detector in the 11000 block of Larimore Road, just north of the highway and the border with Bellefontaine Neighbors.

Officers were told a male shooting victim had arrived at a hospital with gunshot injuries. He later died from his injuries.

Police did not immediately say whether they had any suspects.
