ADA TWP., MI – A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Ada Township following a reported water main break on Saturday afternoon.

Residents of Ada Township are advised to boil their water before use to avoid any contamination that may have leaked into the water system following the break, according to a notice sent out just before 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30.

Due to a drop in pressure in the Ada Township water supply, bacterial contamination may have occurred in the water system.

Contamination may have occurred in the areas of Ada Drive east of Bradfield, the Ada Moorings area, the Driftwood area, Thornapple River Drive, Headley, Bronson, River Street, Settlers, Fase Street as well as East Fulton east of Grand River Drive, the notice states.
