RICHMOND, Ky. —

A Kentucky man was arrested after he allegedly broke into his brother's home and stabbed him in the testicles with scissors.

According to an arrest citation, Justin Dean, of Richmond, Kentucky, was taken into custody Friday.

In a criminal complaint, investigators said at 2 a.m. on Aug. 3, Dean entered his brother's home without permission.

Dean's brother claims to have awakened to find Dean standing over him in his bedroom.

Investigators said that's when Dean immediately started stabbing his brother in the testicles with scissors.

After that, police said a physical struggle began, with Dean putting his brother in a chokehold until he nearly lost consciousness before managing to escape.

Dean is charged with burglary, strangulation and assault.
