AKRON, Ohio (WKBN) - Warren Harding sealed the game late with the defense in a 25-6 win on the road at Akron Buchtel on Saturday.
The Raiders' defense provided two pick-six interceptions (Asa Burch and Satavian Hill) on consecutive possessions with less than two minutes left to score the final 25 points of the game.
After falling behind 6-0, junior MiKing Adair found the end zone to tie it in the third quarter. On the following Buchtel possession, a bad snap resulted in a safety to take a 8-6 Harding lead.
Junior kicker Jaron Edmonds added a 25-yard field goal to give the Raiders an 11-6 advantage before the final two defensive touchdowns sealed it.
With the win, Warren Harding moves to 1-1 on the season and heads back home to take on Perry on Friday, September 5.
