KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho -- One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash on State Route 41 in Kootenai County.

According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday near State Highway 41 and West Village Boulevard.

A motorcyclist was driving south on the highway when it crashed with a pickup truck as it made a left turn from West Village Boulevard onto the highway.

The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Newport, Washington, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The driver and passengers in the pickup truck were not injured.

ISP says the crash remains under investigation.
