CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Every Labor Day weekend, thousands of people pour into Carroll County for the Hillsville Flea Market, one of the largest events of its kind in the country.

For more than 30 years, vendors like Brittany Christensen have set up shop, building relationships that go beyond simple transactions.

“We try to make sure that, you know, we talk to the customer so that we can get an idea of what they want and put it aside for them,” Christensen said.

That personal touch keeps shoppers like April Zamborsky coming back year after year.
