Georgia football junior wide receiver Zachariah Branch made a splash in his debut with the Bulldogs in the season opening 45-7 win over Marshall.

The USC transfer tallied three receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown before getting a calf cramp and sitting the remainder of the third and entire fourth quarters.

"He pushed really hard," Kirby Smart said. "It was important to him. I think he was probably a little amped up, a little anxious, which, you know, that's one of the things that happens is you cramp up when you do that."

Branch has embodied the team's new motto 'F.P.E.,' which stands for 'Fire. Passion. Energy.' Smart told the team before the game to not be surprised if Branch had an explosive game because of how hard he's put in practice.
