KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – A collision on State Highway 41 and West Village Boulevard, near Twin Lakes, has prompted an investigation by the Idaho State Police (ISP).

The incident occurred Saturday around 8:48 a.m. A motorcyclist on a Harley Davidson was travelling south on SH-41, as a Ford Super Duty pickup was making a left from West Village onto the highway. The Harley Davidson and Ford collided.

According to ISP, the driver of the Harley Davidson, a 35-year-old man from Newport, sustained serious injuries despite wearing a helmet, and was transported to a local hospital by Life Flight. No injuries were sustained by the driver of the Ford or the three passengers.

Following the incident, the roadway was blocked in both directions for around three hours while emergency responders worked
