VIRIGNIA BEACH Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is packed for Labor Day weekend. With lots of folks out and about for the holiday, that means there’s set to be many cars on the road as well.

Safety on the road is certainly on everyone’s mind this weekend following a fatal motorcycle crash after a pursuit that started on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach and ended on Brambleton Avenue in Norfolk. According to Virginia State Police, the motorcyclist exceeded speeds of 140 mph before crashing into a concrete wall and was pronounced dead on scene.
