HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- Many people are choosing to spend their Labor Day weekends camping.

Audubon State Park in Henderson is just one of the campgrounds welcoming visitors. One person from Tennessee says the park is nice and shaded making nice to relax at the camp.

“Well, we did a last minute kind of reservation, and found there was a spot here that fit our camper back here, and we decided to come up and visit some family, we have some family in Evansville, so it was a nice little halfway point,” Zach Sweet said.

Audubon State Park has over six miles of trails, a nature center and a museum.
