TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (WHNT) -- Yellow is universally known as the color of hope and folks wore it from head to toe Saturday afternoon to pray for August Borden.
"We're stronger together than fighting this all alone, mentally and physically," community prayer organizer Karleigh Hoagland said.
August Borden was airlifted to UAB with life-threatening injuries on August 19. It remains unclear how August got those injuries.
He's known as cheerful and athletic with a heart of gold, making yellow the perfect color to pray in his honor.
"He's Jesus on two wheels, if you know what I mean. He'd give you the shirt off his back. He wouldn't hurt a fly," Hoagland said.
August spent two days at the hospital and is now back home healing. His grandmother, Linda Mance, said they're taking his recovery one
