SAVANNAH, Ga (WSAV) - Authorities are investigating following a heavy law enforcement presence early Sunday morning at the intersection of Ogeechee Road and Gamble Road in Savannah.

Savannah, Police Department, Chatham County Police Department, Chatham County Sheriffs Office were all on scene.

A WSAV crew on scene witnessed what appeared to be a body laying in the middle of Ogeechee road. Witnesses were being questioned by police around midnight.

Parts of Ogeechee Road were closed early overnight. WSAV is waiting for more information from law-enforcement.
