UNR recently released bilingual interviews with 20 of Nevada’s undocumented immigrants, which is called the Realities of Undocumented Immigrants Oral History Project. It is available via the University Library and on Spotify. The project was a collaboration between many immigrant-serving community organizations, UNR students, California State University, Stanislaus students and me. In the context of President Donald Trump’s promises of continued mass deportations, these oral histories provide important testimony regarding the humanity of undocumented immigrants and what Nevada could be doing to ensure a more just society for all of our residents.
