Eddie Howe has responded to claims that Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak gave his teammates an emotional farewell at the club's Benton training ground. ‌

Swedish television fuelled the rumours, suggesting that Isak had stayed behind to say a heartfelt goodbye to his colleagues amid speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool . But Howe insisted he had "no knowledge" of any such incident and stressed that he "would know" if it had occurred. ‌
