AMES — There were many questions entering the offseason for Iowa State football .

One of the key ones was how the Cycones would replace the production left behind by wide receivers Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins, who each had 1,000-yard seasons and garnered a vast majority of targets in 2024.

Noel and Higgins, who now both play for the Houston Texans, got to see first-hand during the Cyclones' 55-7 thrashing of visiting FCS-power South Dakota on Aug. 30.
