A devastated mum lost her six year old daughter after early warning signs of a brain tumour were wrongly written off as merely a "lazy eye". ‌

Octavia Cook, who arrived prematurely at 29 weeks, was just three years old when her mother spotted her eyes starting to wander. However, she claims the family GP continually brushed aside her worries , causing crucial delays in getting a proper diagnosis. ‌

It was only when the little girl's eyes became completely crossed that she was finally sent for an MRI scan which uncovered the devastating reality - Octavia was battling an inoperable brain tumour. ‌
