SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Thunderstorm activity will pick up Sunday and Labor Day. Morning thunderstorms are likely both days, afternoon storms are possible.
Cold fronts continue to slide through the eastern U.S., stalling in Florida. Up north it’s an early taste of Fall weather. On the Suncoast we could see northerly winds and dew points dropping to the lower 70s from time to time.
Beaching and Boating conditions could be active with more widespread storms Sunday, especially in the morning. We could repeat the morning and afternoon storms Labor Day Monday. When thunder roars, go indoors! Rip current risk is low this weekend, but always watch the flags at lifeguard stations. Conditions can change near thunderstorms. Beach winds will hold steady out of the West at 5-15 mph. Boating conditio
