The Arson Bomb Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm in Uniondale. According to Detectives, Officers responded to a fire at Prendi Laundromat located at 922 Front Street. Upon police arrival, a thorough investigation determined a male subject set a poster on fire near the front door than blocked the entrance. A female victim, 53, extinguished the fire and called police. The male subject fled the scene on foot. A short time later, officers located defendant Curtis Desir, 31, and placed him into police custody without incident. No injuries were reported.

Defendant Curtis Desir is charged with Arson 2nd Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at First Di
