OPP say one person is in custody following a disturbance at a home in Chesley.

Police posted on Facebook this morning of a disturbance in the area of 1st Avenue North and 2nd Street Northeast and to expect a high-than-normal police presence and to avoid the area.

Sections of 1st Avenue North were closed in response to the disturbance.

In an update at 10:17 a.m., police say one was in custody and no others are being sought.

There is no threat to public safety and police say 1st Avenue North will be reopening soon.

Officers may continue to be in the area as they document evidence.

OPP say no further information will be released at this time.
