WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police are investigating after a man was shot in Northeast late Saturday night.

The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to the shooting in the 1500 block of F Street, NE, at around 11:10 p.m. At the scene, police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics rushed the man to the hospital for treatment. As of Sunday morning, there is no word on his condition.
