THIS is the landmark moment Ukraine launched its game-changing new long-range Flamingo missile in combat.

Footage shared on Telegram shows the rocket being launched to strike critical Russian targets.

A clip posted on the account All-Seeing EYE: Ukraine claims to show one of the missile's first uses in the war.

"Flamingo missiles are already being actively launched at targets in the Russian Federation," it reads.

The strikes were likely aimed at Russian-occupied Crimea, substantially broadening Kyiv 's attack options against their invaders.

These entirely domestically produced weapons boast a range of 1,865 miles, making them capable of hitting deep inside European Russia and even western Siberia.

Crucially, the Russian capital city Moscow is comfortably within range.
