Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, was hospitalized following a serious car accident in New Hampshire on Saturday night. His spokesperson, Michael Ragusa, reported that Giuliani sustained multiple injuries, including fractured thoracic vertebrae, lacerations, and contusions. He also suffered injuries to his left arm and lower leg.

The crash occurred after Giuliani had stopped to assist a woman who was a victim of domestic violence. Ragusa stated that Giuliani rendered aid, called 911, and stayed with the woman until police arrived to ensure her safety. The connection between this incident and the subsequent car crash remains unclear.

Giuliani, 81, is currently recovering in the hospital and is said to be in "good spirits." Ragusa shared this update through a statement on social media.

Giuliani gained prominence in the 1980s and 1990s as a prosecutor and later served two terms as mayor of New York City. He attempted a presidential run in 2008 and became a close adviser to former President Donald Trump during his first term. Giuliani has faced significant legal challenges in recent years, including disbarment in New York and Washington, D.C., and a bankruptcy declaration after being found liable for $146 million for spreading false claims about election workers in Georgia.
