FARGO — The North Dakota State Bison defeated Saint Mary’s (Calif.) 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in nonconference NCAA Division I women's volleyball at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.

NDSU won by scores of 25-19, 24-26, 25-18, 17-25 and 15-12.

Lauren Jansen and Zoe John led the Bison in kills. Jansen had 13 and John totaled 12. Baily Randall aced four serves and Emma Tallman notched four blocks.

NDSU's Maddy Dombeck had 21 assists and Rya Borer had 10 digs.

Genevieve Bane led Saint Mary’s with 20 kills. Ivon Lazovic had six aces and Ivona Lasovic had 49 assists.

The Bison improved to 3-0 overall and battle Oakland at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the Ellesyn Invitational in Missoula, Montana.
