Two men have been charged after allegedly attacking a police officer during a brawl at a pub in Sydney's CBD.
At about 5.40pm yesterday, police were called to a hotel at Broadway after reports of a group of people at the bar who were allegedly yelling offensively at passersby before a brawl broke out.
Officers attempted to disperse the group, upon which it's alleged a 48-year-old man attacked a male constable.
It's further alleged that when the constable attempted to arrest the 48-year-old, a 29-year-old man also attacked the officer.
Police deployed capsicum spray and both men fled but were arrested after a short foot pursuit.
The men were charged with assaulting police, affray, and resisting or hindering police.
They were refused police bail and will appear in court today.
