COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man was arrested and charged after court records say he assaulted a man with cerebral palsy in the Short North nearly two weeks ago.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, on Aug. 18, officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the area of North High Street and East Third Avenue around 7:20 p.m. on a report of an assault.

Arriving officers found the victim with multiple cuts to his face, records say. He was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in "stable" condition. He reportedly had a skull fracture, brain bleed, a broken orbital bone and a broken hand.
