MADISON, Wis. -- The No. 8 Wisconsin volleyball team was once again thwarted by the No. 5 Texas Longhorns in their biggest non-conference game of the season, as the Badgers lost in straight sets on Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
Wisconsin took Texas to the wire in the first set, as the Longhorns needed to win on their fifth set point to outlast the Badgers, which they finally did on a kill by freshman Abby Vander Wal.
The second set was a strong back-and-forth between both squads with Wisconsin clawing their way back to take a 17-16 set lead. Texas responded after their timeout with 4 straight points to go up 20-17.
