CHICAGO – The White Sox ended a five-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Yankees on Sunday afternoon at Rate Field. Their 10-game homestand ended with a 4-6 record after they dropped three of four to New York.

Lenyn Sosa delivered the knockout punch, with his solo blast to center off Tim Hill breaking the 2-2 deadlock with two outs in the eighth. It was Sosa’s team-best 18th home run.

Martín Pérez allowed two runs on five hits over six innings, striking out seven. He yielded Aaron Judge’s 43rd home run in the first, marking the first homer Judge has hit in his career off the veteran southpaw. Colson Montgomery tied the game with a solo blast in the sixth, his 15th for the season.
