WHITLEY COUNTY — The Whitley County School District responded on Wednesday to social media posts made by school students about an alleged incident at the high school, clarifying that the claims were false.

In a statement posted on the district's official Facebook page, officials said the rumors stemmed from an allegation earlier in the week that had already been investigated.
