MODESTO, Calif. —
The Modesto Nuts played their final home game in Modesto, with fans gathering at John Thurman Field to watch the minor league baseball team one last time before its move to San Bernardino next season .
The Nuts did not finish as fans hoped, losing to the Stockton Ports with a score of 5-4. The Seattle Mariners' Single-A affiliate has a few more games next week on the road in San Jose before their season wraps.
Next year, the team will be renamed the Inland Empire 66ers.
