A brushfire on the mountainside of Waianae has been 75% contained, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.

The brushfire was reported before 12:36 p.m. today.

Sixteen HFD ground units are battling the fire located 50 feet up the side of the mountain near Kapaekahi Street. Air 1 helicopter is on the scene for water drops.

Hawaiian Electric Company reported that no Public Safety Power Shutdown was needed at this time.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services are on the scene.
