It took firefighters less than an hour Sunday to free a man with a leg injury who was stuck 30 feet up a tree in the West Hills area of Los Angeles.
The situation was reported about 3:35 p.m. Sunday at 22635 W. Vanowen St., near or in Shadow Ranch Park, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
“Firefighters used the aerial ladder-and-rope system to safely extricate the patient from the tree and lower him to the ground for treatment/transport,” Stewart said.
The man was freed at 4:23 p.m., she said.
