A man killed in a two-vehicle collision in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles was publicly identified Sunday.

Gabriel Ramirez Luna was pronounced dead at the scene, the Medical Examiner’s office announced. The 50-year-old died from multiple blunt force injuries in an accident. His city of residence was not provided.

The crash was reported at 8:50 a.m. Monday at 458 W. Florence Ave., according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Luna was pronounced dead at the scene and fire department crews worked to free his body from the wreckage before medical examiner’s personnel arrived, Lantz said.

One other person was in fair condition when taken to a hospital, Lantz said.
