TORONTO – The off day is tantalizingly close, the end of a brutal 19-games-in-18-days stretch that has tested the Milwaukee Brewers in every way imaginable.

And by the looks of the performance they put forth on Sunday, Aug. 31, they need it – badly .

With a shot at sweeping a terrific Toronto Blue Jays team on their home turf, the Brewers instead stumbled their way to an ugly 8-4 defeat in which virtually every area of what's been an incredibly tight-knit, well-run unit betrayed them over the course of nine innings.
