The Seattle Sounders just added yet another trophy to their collection.

And they did so by defeating likely the greatest soccer player of all time.

The Sounders pulled away for a 3-0 win over Messi-led Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup final on Sunday evening in front of 69,314 fans at Lumen Field.

Osaze De Rosario opened the scoring by heading in a cross from Alex Roldan in the 26th minute. Roldan then converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute and Paul Rothrock added an 89th-minute goal to seal the victory.

It’s the first time the Sounders have won the Leagues Cup, an annual tournament featuring teams from North America’s top two leagues – the MLS and Mexico’s Liga MX. This year’s tournament featured 36 teams, with 18 apiece from the two leagues.
