AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Sod Poodles fell to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Sunday afternoon, 9-6.

Amarillo was down 4-0 going into the bottom of the second inning, but Caleb Roberts would hit his second grand slam of the season to tie it up.

The Naturals would keep scoring runs. In the bottom of the ninth, Gavin Conticello would hit a two RBI single to add two more runs.

Alec Baker picks up his fourth loss this season on the mound for Amarillo. In three innings pitched, he allowed five runs off eight hits while striking out three batters.

The Sod Poodles still sit 6.5 games ahead in the Texas League South division after today’s results from around the league.
