MONTEBELLO – A pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle in lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello Sunday.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol about the situation about 7:45 p.m. Sunday on the westbound 60 Freeway under the Paramount Boulevard bridge.
A witness told the CHP the pedestrian was down, then got up and ran into lanes again and was struck by another vehicle. Another witness told the agency that the pedestrian jumped from the overpass onto the freeway below.
The CHP issued a SigAlert about 8:25 p.m., shutting down westbound lanes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 but reopened lanes 4 and 5 to traffic at 8:46 p.m.
