Franklin County Clerk Tim Baker is responding to President Donald Trump’s call to issue an executive order banning mail-in voting and voting machines.

On Aug. 18, Trump posted on social media that he pledged to lead a “movement” to outlaw voting machines and mail balloting, according to the Associated Press. He also promised an executive order to “help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm elections.” ×
