Our brave reporter spent a night in the worst rated hotel in Edinburgh. Here's how it went:
A night in Edinburgh's worst hotel didn't exactly seem like a dream when it was proposed to me, however I love a good underdog and was very much hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the establishment which had somehow managed to give itself such a bad reputation.
The Britannia, formerly known as the Dragonara was once known as the place to go in Edinburgh when it was in its heyday in the 1990s.
However, it seems that not much has changed since those initial days, with the building itself looking unfortunately tired when I arrived.
Location-wise, the hotel could not be in a better place, sitting at the bottom of Palmerston Place, just a few steps away from the National Galleries and Dean Village.
