Ryanair will slash one million seats to and from Spanish airports , Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson will announce on Wednesday. Speaking to Spanish news site Europa Press, the Irish exec blamed the “indifference” of the Spanish government, who recently announced a 6.5% fee increase on all passengers in 2026, bringing the price per passenger to €11.03.
Wilson slammed the move as “unjustified and damaging,” representing the “highest level in a decade,” despite AENA – the Spanish government’s regional airport operator – reporting record profits and pass
